Increase in co. wexford planning applications and project starts
County Wexford is continuing to see an increase in planning applications and project commencements. That's according to figures from the National Housing Construction Index. The residential construction sector in County Wexford performed strongly in the first four months of 2014. When compared to the same period last year project commencements rose by 127 per cent while planning applications went up by 20 per cent. County Wexford is just above the average in terms of planning applications when compared with the national figure of 19 per cent while the county was slightly below the national figure of 132 per cent for project commencements. The data contained in the National Housing Construction Index is aggregated by consultancy Link2Plans from real time planning and project information in every local authority area.
