Gardaí in the south-east are investigating serious allegations of rape and sexual assault made by three women and a teenage girl against a man in his 30s, who held a senior role at a local sports centre.
The women, who arrived together at a Garda station, claim they were assaulted at various locations in Ireland and the UK, including the sports facility where they all previously worked. A teenage girl has also come forward with separate allegations involving the same individual. Gardaí are treating the case with urgency and sensitivity, with specialist officers from the Divisional Protective Services Unit leading what is expected to be a complex and lengthy investigation. No arrests have been made and the man cannot be identified for legal reasons.
