Sky-gazers have enjoyed the rare sight of a supermoon, after it came closer to Earth than it has in almost 70 years. The moon appeared bigger and brighter than usual last night and will not be repeated until 2034. The gap between the Earth and the moon closed to its shortest point - a distance of more than 221-thousand miles.
