PRAISE FOR WEXFORD COMPANY WHO DESIGNED WATER PUMP FOR THAI CAVE

The Chairman of Wexford County Council has expressed his delight and pride in the Wexford company which played a major part in the rescue of 12 schoolboys and their coach from the caves in Thailand.

The water pumps used to pump water out of the cave were designed and manufactured at Sulzer Pumps in Wexford Town, formerly known as ABS Pumps.

The specialised pumps were made by Paul O’Dowd and Noel Dempsey at Sulzer Pumps.

Fianna Fail Councillor Tony Dempsey says its a proud day for a highly respected company in Wexford and he knows many of the people involved in Sulzer on a personal basis.
