SPORT: DEVEREUX WARNS OF PUTTING TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON WEXFORD HURLING TEAM

The Wexford County Board Chairman is warning people not to get ahead of themselves as the senior hurling team prepare to face Waterford in their round 2 All Ireland qualifier.

It follows their win over the current All Ireland Champions Clare in a replay on Saturday in Wexford park.

They overcame the banner county 2-25 to 2-22 following extra time.

The winner of the game between Wexford and Waterford this Saturday in Nowlan Park will then face Limerick.

However, Diarmuid Devereux is warning against putting too much pressure on the young Wexford team.
