SPORT: O’NEILL NAMES SQUAD FOR SUMMER FRIENDLIES
Ireland manger Martin O’Neil hasn’t ruled out a return for Stephen Ireland.
The Manager who announced his squad for the summer friendlies today says the slate is clean and that he wants to meet up with him when the season is over.
Ireland has impressed for Stoke this season and recently signed a new deal.
Newcastle goalkeeper Rob Elliot, Celtic striker Anthony Stokes and Nottingham Forest attacker Simon Cox are among those included.
LA Galaxy forward Robbie Keane also returns.
O’Neills side will play Turkey in the Aviva, Italy in London, Costa Rica in Philadelphia and Portugal in New Jersey.
