SPORT: WEST BROM SACK ANELKA
West Brom have sacked Nicolas Anelka for “gross misconduct” after the striker announced on Twitter that he’d decided to terminate his contract.
He was already serving a club suspension after being handed a 5-game ban by the Football Association for his controversial quenelle goal celebration.
The Premier League side were angered that he hadn’t informed them of his intentions first and decided to end his contract themselves.
