SPORT: WEXFORD FOOTBALL MANAGER LOOKING AHEAD TO NEXT GAME FOLLOWING LOSS

The Wexford Senior Footballers suffered a humiliating 14 point defeat at the hands of Clare in Milltown Malbay in their opening Division 3 league encounter yesterday.

They trailed by 5 points at the break, Paddy Byrne was black carded 2 minutes into the 2nd half and a minute later lost their Captain Ciaran Lyng to a straight red card.

Clare’s Goal came from Pat Burke at the end of the game.

Manager David Power said that it was now important to focus on the visit of Armagh to Wexford Park next Sunday.

He says they need to remain positive and re-group to see where they go from here.
