SPORT: WEXFORD’S HURLERS FAIL TO GAIN PROMOTION
There was disappointment for the Wexford senior hurling team yesterday.
They failed in their campaign to gain promotion to division 1A in the Allianz National League.
It finished Wexford 0-16 Waterford 0-22 in Innovate Wexford Park.
Waterford have bounced quickly back to the top tier following the win which means Liam Dunne’s side will remain in Division 1B for a fifth successive year.
We’ll find out the times dates and venues of the division 1 quarter finals and the relegation play off later today.
Tipp meet Offally, Cork take on Wexford and Dublin play Limerick.
In the other quarter final Waterford will host Galway but the throw-in time has yet to be decided.
