WEXFORD MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN AUSTRALIAN CRASH OUT OF INTENSIVE CARE

A young Kilmore Quay man seriously injured in a road crash in Australia is making good progress.

27 year-old Thomas O’Flaherty has been moved out of intensive care in hospital in Newcastle in New South Wales.

The accident involving his car and a lorry happened last week on the highway between Sydney and Brisbane where he is working.

His parents are at his bedside and reported back this morning to the Parish Priest in Kilmore – Father Denis Doyle:

“We had a letter, an email, from his mum this morning and she goes like this – we got our miracle, out, he’s out of the intensive care this morning and moved to a lower dependancy ward and he even asked for a wheelchair so that he could get to the toilet himself” he said.

“…so that’s brilliant news this morning, thanks be to God” he added.
