WEXFORD SET TO BE HIT BY THE BIGGEST BLIZZARD IN 36 YEARS

Its a waiting game as the country grinds to a halt in advance Storm Emma this afternoon.

Most services and businesses across Wexford will be closing in the coming hours.

We’re set to be hit by the biggest blizzard in 36 years and is due to touch down at 4pm.

The snow will be intermittent at first but will become heavier this evening and with significant drifting to take place overnight.

The red weather alert has been issued by Met Eireann for the whole country and will stay in place until tomorrow afternoon.

The temperatures will start to rise slowly at the weekend but it does mean the snow may stick around for a few days.
