WEXFORD TOWN TO RECEIVE HIGH SPEED BROADBAND

Wexford is one of fifteen towns the government is giving high speed broadband to help grow business.

The free connection, an initiative by Vodafone and Siro, is designed to give struggling companies who are within a hub a chance in certain areas of the country.

The plans mean that individual businesses can’t apply for the initiative, only businesses who are contained within a hub.

However, it has the potential to create thousands of jobs in Wexford, and other selected towns like Dundalk, Cavan and Castlebar.

Anne O’Leary who’s chief executive of Vodafone Ireland says it’s very exciting.
