First Funeral Of Kildare Crash Victim Takes Place

FIRST FUNERAL OF KILDARE CRASH VICTIM TAKES PLACE

Hundreds of mourners packed into Bennekerry Church in Co Carlow for the funeral of Chermaine Carroll this morning.

The 20 year old is one of four young women who lost their lives in a car crash on Tuesday night in Co Kildare.

The folk group from the girls former school St Leo’s College in Carlow will sing at their funerals which will take place over the next two days.

Later this afternoon her friend – 19 year old Gemma Nolan – also from Carlow – will be laid to rest after her funeral mass at the Holy Family Church at Askea in Carlow.

Meanwhile, Niamh Doyle, from Carlow, and Ashling Middleton, from Athy, will be buried tomorrow.
