FRANCES FITZGERALD NEW MINISTER FOR JUSTICE AND EQUALITY
Her position as Minister for Children will be taken over by the Laois Offaly TD, Charlie Flanagan.
It became clear before the announcement that Frances Fitzgerald would get the top job.
She attended an event in her Dublin MidWest constituency this morning with An Taoiseach and in an unusual move travelled back to Leinster House in his car.
Just before 11 o’clock, Enda Kenny made the formal announcement.
He’s also taking temporary control of the Department of Defence himself – pending re-assigning that to another member of the Government.
