Sport: Wexford Hurling Team To Play Antrim Announced

SPORT: WEXFORD HURLING TEAM TO PLAY ANTRIM ANNOUNCED

The Wexford Senior Hurling team to face Antrim in Sunday’s opening Division 1b encounter was announced last night after training in Gorey

Just 8 of the team that played in the corresponding fixture last year will start on Sunday.

Mossy Waters will captain the team while they’re opening league debuts for Padraig Foley at wing back and Dáithí Waters who made the switch from football to hurling will start at centre forward.

Kevin Foley will start in the corner forward position.

The team in full is in goal Mark Fanning.

Eoin Moore, Tomás Waters and Ciarán Kenny are the full backs.

The half backs are Paudie Foley, Lee Chin and David Redmond.

In midfield are Paul Morris and Garrett Sinnott.

The half forwards are Ian Byrne, Dáithí Waters and Diarmuid O’Keefe.

The full forwards are Kevin Foley, Jack Guiney and Liam Óg McGovern.
