WEXFORD MINISTER ONE OF SIX ON FELLOW TD’S HIT LIST

A number of Fine Gael back bench TDs have drawn up a hit list of ministers and junior minsters they want axed in the forthcoming government reshuffle.

One of them is government Chief Whip Wexford TD Paul Kehoe.

There are three senior Ministers and three junior ministers on the hit list according to a report in today’s Irish Independent.

Back bench TDs in Fine Gael are becoming increasingly alarmed at the way the government is performing and in particual the drop in support for the party in the local elections.

Now around a dozen TDs have come up with Ministers they want removed.

They include senior ministers James Reilly, Phil Hogan and Jimmy Deenihan and junior ministers Paul Kehoe, John Perry and Dinny McGinley,

Paul Kehoe was appointed as government Chief Whip and Minister of State at the Department of Defence by Enda Kenny at the beginning of this government’s term.

The Taoiseach is expected to announce his cabinet reshuffle following the election of the new Labour Party leader on the 4th of July.
