South East Radio Wins 2 National PPI Radio Awards

South East Radio’s Morning Mix has won gold again for a second consecutive year at the National PPI Radio awards.

The programme took first place, beating stiff competition from Today FM and RTE Radio 1, for its Dee Day Heart Attack Awareness Campaign in memory of our former colleague the late Stephen Dee.

The campaign encouraged thousands of people across County Wexford to get their blood pressure checked, and to identify the signs of a possible heart attack.

South East Radio’s Morning Mix also had other success on the night with presenter Alan Corcoran announced as a finalist in the Speech Broadcaster of the Year category for a third consecutive year.

The radio station also won a bronze award for Wexford’s Wild Heritage presented by Alan McGuire, Chris Wilson and Don Conroy
